“Wild Fox Medicine”
This painting is inspired by the lyrics of the song “Budding Trees” by Nahko and Medicine for the People. It is dedicated to my good friend who passed away suddenly while this painting was still in the process of being created.
The Trickster teaches us that there is always more than meets the eye. The Trickster is playful, wild, and chaotic, yet possesses a profound wisdom. He challenges the status quo, catalyses change, and brings forth new paradigms – all with a smile on his face. There are many trickster spirits within the painting: fox, snake, spider, dragonfly, and fly agaric.
